During unstaffed hours, members will access the gym using a card reader at the front door. Your membership card is an electronic key fob. Place your key fob in front of the card reader until you hear a beep and the door unlocks. Upon successful validation, the LED will flash green, and the door will unlock for five seconds. If the LED flashes red and the door remains locked, validation has failed. See the staff at the front counter to resolve any issues. Additionally, please remember to scan your key card at the front desk every time you visit the gym. This allows us to accurately record usage and traffic data.
Through the home page of this website, you can access the online ASF club registration for Island Health and Fitness. You can set-up electronic fund transfers (EFT) with a major credit card, savings or checking account.
The Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) draft is a payment method whereby the bank automatically sends monthly dues and any other charges you specify on your Membership Agreement, from your checking, savings, or credit card account directly to the clubs' banking account. The EFT draft system is very convenient for you as a member. You do not have to write a check every month to pay your club dues. There are no finance charges or service charges for processing a successful EFT payment.
The Electronic Funds Transfer system is safer and more convenient than other conventional payment methods. Each draft is itemized on your bank or credit card statement. EFT is the fitness industries standard for banking and billing processes.
Membership charges are drafted per the date established at the time of joining. Please see the Island Health and Fitness club manger if you would like to change your billing day.
If an EFT draft transaction is not successful, the bank will attempt to automatically redraft the following day. A service charge will be applied. It is the members' responsibility to pay all previously returned EFT drafts and service charges through the ASF billing site and to Island Health and Fitness.
Replacement cards can be purchased for $10.00. Please contact the front desk for a new membership card.
The annual club enhancement fee is a yearly charge of $39.00 which will draft 60 days after initial sign up and will recur every year. The fee is used for routine maintenance and purchasing new fitness equipment that will enhance the members experience.
Safety of our members is a top priority. Island Health and Fitness uses a computer controlled card access system. The system will record all attempts to enter our facility, even if the entry request is denied. All members are required to use their membership card each visit.
Once in the lobby, the Island Health and Fitness facility utilizes audio/visual security camera systems to monitor individuals coming and going. There are multiple 24 hours a day digital recording equipment monitoring systems located in all legally permissible access areas of the club. Similar recording devices are also utilized to monitor the parking lot areas and all access points surrounding the building.
